Claude Galipeau

Most recently, Claude was VP Interactive Media, Astral Media and prior to that SVP, Digital Media, Alliance Atlantis Communications Inc., responsible for new media business strategy, programming and operations for all Alliance Atlantis properties. Claude previously was Executive Director,    Digital Programming and Business Development, at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation..

Claude's background includes working for Alliance Atlantis Communications, as Vice-President, Broadcasting, and heading business development and new media at Salter Street Films. Claude has also worked as a senior adviser to the Government of Ontario's Cabinet Office, Premier's Office and Ministry of Intergovernmental Affairs; a senior advisor and lobbyist at the World Association of Newspapers based in Paris; an independent media consultant; and, from 1990- 1991, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Administration at the University of Ottawa.

Claude has a PhD from the University of Toronto, an MA from Queen's University and a BA from Bishop's University. He is the author of Isaiah Berlin's Liberalism (Oxford, 1994), as well as numerous articles on political theory and Canadian politics and public policy.

Stephen Tapp

Stephen is a proven leader in the media and entertainment sector with over 25 years of experience in conventional, specialty and subscriber based entertainment businesses. His vast experience includes many pioneering initiatives in radio, television and online media production, acquisition, distribution and brand building. Over this period, Tapp has been involved in 4 start-ups that involved new licensing and new technology launches on multiple “first in Canada” distribution platforms.

From September 2004 to June 2007, Tapp was the President and COO of XM Satellite Radio Canada. Prior to XM, from 2002-2004 he was a member of the Senior Operating Group and was Executive Vice-President of CHUM Television; Tapp was Vice President and General Manager of Citytv Toronto from 2000-2002.

Tapp has a passion for, and a proven track record in media company start-ups and new technology product launches. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science Degree with Honours from Queen’s University at Kingston (1983).


John Acello

Most recently John served as Vice President of Operations for Global Traffic Networks, a traffic information content provider operating in Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom. John has also worked for Westwood One Radio Networks and its subsidiary Metro Networks which is the largest provider of radio programming content in the United States. While there, John held the positions of Corporate Vice President of Management/Employee Relations, Regional Vice President General Manger – Southwest division and Vice President General Manager - Philadelphia region.

Currently, John is the CEO of ACELLO MEDIA solutions, a multimedia consulting firm providing B2B partnering and content solutions in Canada and the U.S.

John has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Multi-Media Communication, Temple University, Philadelphia, PA and completed Post-Graduate studies in Human Resource Psychology, Ottawa University, Phoenix , AZ.
